"Ministry from a Comic Spirit!" Lecture Summary
In ministry, sometimes we may feel we are lone, heroic figures, called to a lifetime of deadly serious service to a humorless God. This lecture replaces that tragic spirit with a comic spirit: not a call to trivialize life’s sorrows, but a challenge to live joyfully in the present, in keeping with the ultimate positive ending of our Christian salvation story. It invites listeners to embrace the good news that we can minister with a humble, communal and joyful spirit even on our most difficult days.
